Laboratory of Cell Engineering II. is intended for research in the fields of biophysics, cell and tissue engineering. The laboratory applies technologically demanding measuring and imaging methods in research on living cells and cell tissue. Laboratory equipment is used in research focused on monitoring and measuring fluorescence phenomena in cells and tissues, together with the use of nanoparticles and bioprinting. Research is supported by the use of specialized equipment such as fluorescence, confocal and holographic microscopes or advanced microfluidic and incubation systems. The laboratory is also used for research activities in student bachelor's and master's theses.

- Research in the field of fluorescence measurements and imaging.
- Monitoring cell morphology, cell migration, cell viability.
- Monitoring of mitochondrial function and activity, use of controlled atmosphere.
- Mechanical and electrical stimulation of cardiomyocytes, monitoring of their function.
- Research activities within student bachelor's and master's theses.
